Volcano Show
On March 19, 2021, lava broke through the surface in Geldingadalir, only 30 kilometers from Reykjavík. It was the first eruption in the area in over 800 years, turning a quiet valley into a fiery spectacle that captured the world’s attention. For months, people flocked to the site, witnessing Iceland’s living geology in action.
At Perlan, you can relive this extraordinary event in the Volcano Show. Through drone footage and immersive sound, the show brings the eruption’s energy and beauty to life, from rivers of glowing lava to the breathtaking scenery surrounding the volcano.

Volcano Hall of Fame
